BLS for HealthCare Providers

Audience: This course is intended for individuals with limited previous medical training who need to have certification for their work. Some examples are daycare providers, teachers, counselors, security guards, etc.
Overview: This certification course offers training in Adult & Child CPR (Infant CPR training is optional). You will get training in the use of barrier devices, choking and use of an AED (defibrillator).
Certification: Upon completion of this course, students will receive a certification card, valid for 2 Years. Certifications are through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council or American Safety & Health Institute.

Overview: This course includes Adult, Child & Infant CPR. Choking for all victims, the use of an AED (defibrillator) and BVM (Bag Valve Mask).
Certification: Upon Completion of this course, students will receive an American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Certification Card, valid for 2 Years. Certifications are also available through the American Red Cross, National Safety Council or American Safety & Health Institute.

Online Training

BLS for HealthCare Providers

Online Training

Audience: Anyone who wants to learn CPR/AED and/or First Aid skills at your own pace.
Overview: Adult CPR/AED, Adult Choking, Child CPR/AED, Infant CPR, Infant Choking. Training is web based and you practice and learn at your own pace. Upon completion, your skills are assessed by an authorized instructor remotely.
Certification: Upon completion of this course students will receive a 2 year certification card.

Training: Included is the blended course, digital certification card, remotes skill video. Courses include either you supplying your own equipment, renting or buying from us. You will be supplied with a security code key to access online training and eBook.

Audience: Anyone who wants to learn first aid skills in a group environment taught by our experienced instructors

Overview: This course offers a basic understanding of first aid. Recognizing problems and teaching participants what to do and what not to do while waiting for emergency responders to arrive

Certification: Upon completion of this course students will receive a Basic First Aid 2 year certification card. Certifications are through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council or American Safety & Health Institute.

Pediatric First Aid

Wilderness First Aid

Audience: This course is for individuals who work in a childcare environment where they are required to have Pediatric First Aid training.

Overview: This is the Basic Pediatric First Aid course on learning to manage an illness or injury in the first few minutes. This course offers training in recognizing illnesses and/or injuries and performing immediate care until emergency medical help arrives. More emphasis is given on children and treating children with asthma

Certification: Upon completion of this course students will receive a certification card valid for 2 years. Certifications are offered through the American Heart Association, American Safety & Health Institute, American Red Cross or National Safety Council.

Wilderness First Aid

Audience: Designed for those that spend time hiking & camping in the wilderness. If you are a Boy Scout or someone that spends a lot of time in the wilderness, this is a great course to have

Overview: This course will cover: proper excursion preparation, how to prevent and care for injuries in remote and hazardous locations, how to recognize and correctly respond to potential environmental and biological hazards, how to respond to medical emergencies

Certification: Upon completion of this course participant will receive Wilderness First Aid certification from the American Safety & Health Institute. This course meets the Boy Scouts of America wilderness first aid curriculum guidelines.

Friends & Family First Aid

Audience: Anyone who wants to learn First Aid skills in a group environment taught by our excellent instructors. Recommended for parents, children, teens, and anyone looking to gain valuable first aid training
Overview: This course will cover first aid basics and how to respond to these various emergencies:, injury emergencies, medical emergency & environmental emergencies. THIS IS A NON-CERTIFICATION COURSE.
Certification: Upon completion of this course participants will receive an American Heart Association Family & Friends First Aid participation card.

First Responder (EMR)

Audience: This course is designed for healthcare and emergency professionals such as: Police officers, firefighters, security personal, park rangers, life guards, etc
Overview: This 40 hour course is aimed at emergency service providers. We teach the techniques to provide emergency treatment to victims of sudden illness or injury
Certification: Upon completion of this course participants will receive 3 year First Responder certification card from the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) or National Safety Council (NSC). Healthcare Provider CPR is a prerequisite but may be incorporated in the course .

Bloodborne Pathogens

Bloodborne Pathogens

Audience: These are designed for individuals who have a reasonable chance of coming into direct contact with bloodborne pathogens such as; HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Hep C, etc,

Overview: This course offers awareness to preventing, recognizing and implementing the skills needed to handle a blood borne pathogen emergency. We will explain the different types of exposure; how they are transmitted and about exposure control plans
Certification: Upon completion of this course students will receive a Heartsaver BloodBorne Pathogen certification card from the American Heart Association.

Active Shooter Awareness

Audience: This course is designed for employees, management and facility personnel on how to recognize, manage and prepare for an active shooter event.This course is not written for law enforcement officers, but for non-law enforcement employees.

Overview: An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and other populated area. In most cases, active shooters use firearms and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims. Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. All employees can help prevent and prepare for potential active shooter situations. This course provides guidance to individuals, including managers and employees, so that they can prepare to respond to an active shooter situation.

Audience: This course is intended for anyone over the age of 11. This course will teach you the proper steps of taking care of our pets in the event of an emergency.

Overview: Each class will cover the care, treatment and handling techniques of injured dogs and cats . Instructors will teach you all the steps in Pet CPR, rescue breathing, bandaging, splinting and anything else needed to comfort your pet in the case of an emergency.

Certification: All students get a Pet First Aid and CPR certification card showing completion of the course as well as a Certificate of Completion.

American Heart Association BLS/HeartSaver Instructor Course

Violence in the Workplace (WPV) Situational Awareness For Employees (S.A.F.E)

Audience: This course is intended for anyone looking to become an AHA BLS and/or Heartsaver Instructor. This course will teach you the proper steps of teaching Healthcare Providers, emergency responders, coaches, teachers and the general public lifesaving skills.

Overview: The AHA BLS and/or Heartsaver Instructor course teaches you how to teach others, how to set up a classroom, train your students in CPR, the use of an AED, administering the written exam, treating choking victims and applying First Aid skills. You will be trained by AHA Instructor Trainers (Faculty), you will be given instructor and student manuals and the skills and knowledge to teach on your own. Instructors aligned with First Aid & CPR, LLC will also have access, free of charge, to our online scheduling program.

Certification: A 2 year AHA BLS Instructor card.

Course Length: 6-8 hours plus 2 hour online Instructor Essentials and observation/monitoring sessions.

Violence in the Workplace (WPV) Situational Awareness For Employees (S.A.F.E)

These courses along with our Active Shooter Awareness course can be offered to your company/business/organization remotely. These courses explain what Violence in the Workplace is, the different types of WPV, warning signs and prevention. S.A.F.E covers Decision making during Potentially High-Stress Situations, Physical & Mental Stress, Employee Rights & Responsibilites and more.

Pet Recovery Oxygen Mask Training

Audience: This course is intended for fire, police and EMS personnel. This course will teach you the proper steps of using the Pet Recovery Oxygen Masks.

Overview: The Recovery Oxygen Masks are used in the resuscitation of animals that have been rescued from fires and have been exposed to smoke or need supplemental oxygen due to respiratory disease. The Recovery Oxygen Masks can be used to provide oxygen to animals that are in respiratory distress.

Certification: Non-Certification

Course Length: 60 - 90 minutes.

Re-Entry into the Workplace- Contagious Diseases

This course is a PowerPoint Presentation explain how pathogens (germs) are transmitted, what to do if you or a co-worker are infected and how to safely return to the workplace. We cover PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), Social Distancing, Sanitizing and Disinfecting. Meeting, breaks and dealing with customers, vendors and co-workers in the new normal.

Fire Safety/Fire Warden

These are 2 seperate courses but can be incorporated into one training. Fire Safety covers what to do in the event of a fire in a business or office area. To identify emergency and non-emergency telephone numbers. To discuss fire prevention and preparation concepts, fire response, evacuation and fire extinguishers.

The Fire Warden course covers the above as well as the roles & responsibilities of the Fire Warden. How to identify emergency situations where workplace evacuation is required (ie. Bomb threats, fire, External Emergencies). Have an understanding of the nature and dangers of fire. Have an awareness of Building Evacuation Requirements. Implement evacuation procedures and more.
